The Fighting Saints soccer program has been a pillar of success within the athletic program at STA for the past two decades. The boys side of the soccer program has grown from a dominant force in the Single ‘A’ ranks with three Provincial Championships in the early 2000’s to a consistent contending force in the ‘AA’ tier with a Provincial Championship in 2013-14 and two BC Catholic Championships in 2015-16 and 2018-19. On the girls side, momentous improvements have resulted in a number of success stories and years of firsts as the 2016-17 squad became the first ever to represent STA at a ‘AA’ provincial championship tournament and the most recent 2018-19 squad became the first ever to represent STA in the finals at the BC Catholic Championships. Both sides of the program are shining examples of what it means to be a Fighting Saint. All players who wear the STA soccer jersey, do so with a sense of pride and respect, with the understanding that they are part of a program of excellence.
