STA is a legacy of our community’s strong tradition of philanthropy.

When we give together, our community thrives together. Your donation to the STA Giving & Gratitude Annual Fund enables us to deliver outstanding programs and address the current needs of our school that are not covered by tuition and government funding.

Gifts to the Annual Fund provide immediate, flexible support for the areas of greatest need across our school: faith formation, updated resources and student enhancements. As we get ready to formally kick-off our Convent Renovation in 2027, you can also mark your gift for this project, or split your gift for areas of greatest need AND the convention renovation. How to Donate

The STA Giving & Gratitude Annual Fund is evergreen. Gifts are accepted year-round. Your donation can be a monthly gift or a one-time donation. Note: select “0” on the last screen to avoid processing fees. 

  • Receipts for one-time gifts are sent to you by email as soon as your donation is made.
  • Receipts for monthly gifts are sent by mail in January of each year.

Ways to Give

Gifts of stocks and securities

  • You can avoid capital gains tax through gifts and stocks and securities. Click here to access the RCAV Gifts of Securities form for your broker. Contact the Advancement Office to let them know if you are giving through this approach.

By cheque

  • Please make your cheque to St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School with a notation to the Annual Fund and mail or drop your cheque to the school office.
Convent Renovation

The Convent stands as a tangible reminder of the vision and sacrifice of the school’s founders, the Sisters of the Child Jesus, whose commitment to faith, learning, and service helped shape the foundation of STA and its enduring mission. As the Convent approaches its 100th anniversary, the building requires a comprehensive retrofit and renovation to ensure a safe, functional environment for students, staff, and future generations. The project will transform this historic structure into a vibrant, multi-purpose educational facility while preserving its architectural and historical significance.

The scope of the renovation includes:

  • Space planning and modernization to support academic programming and campus objectives; 
  • Accessibility and functionality improvements to meet the evolving needs of students and staff;
  • Increasing capacity of the Chapel to foster faith formation;
  • Seismic and structural upgrades to meet current safety standards;
  • Replacement of interior building systems and services, including electrical, mechanical, and utility infrastructure; and
  • Interior building restoration and finishing.
