Graduation Mass – Friday, June 7
- Location: STA Gym
- Grad arrival time: No later than 9:45 am
- Mass: 11:00 – 12 noon / Reception to follow
We will be taking a formal group photo before lining up for the procession. Grads will have already received their gowns so please ensure they are pressed and ready to be worn at mass. After mass, the gowns will be taken home and worn again at the Commencement Ceremonies.
Dress code for students
Dress for the Mass should be modest and fitting for the occasion. It includes grad gowns and:
- Boys – dress pants, collared shirt, tie and dress shoes
- Girls – simple dress clothing and shoes you can walk in
Light refreshments will be offered in the cafeteria following Mass.
Commencement Ceremony – Thursday, June 20
- Location: Massey Theatre, 735- 8th Ave, in New Westminster
- Time: Grads arrive – 5:00 pm / Doors open – 6:30 pm / Start – 7:00 pm
- Grad dress code: Same as Grad Mass (Please remember your gown!)
Grads needing a ride to Massey Theatre can reserve a seat on the bus by emailing office@aquinas.org by 9:00 am Tuesday, June 18. Please be at the school by 3:00 pm for the bus departure at 3:30 pm. Seats are reserved for presenters and staff only. General seating is available for all other guests. All grads will be issued invitations but these do not need to be presented. Grads are to bring gowns, and bobby pins to secure the cap which will be distributed at the theater. Grads must arrive at the theater by 5:00 pm for rehearsal.
Graduation Dinner and Dance – Sunday, June 23
- Location: Westin Bayshore Vancouver, 1601 Bayshore Drive, Vancouver
- Parking: information to follow
- Grad dress code: formal or semi-formal attire
- Time: Reception – 5:30 pm / Ballroom doors open – 6:00 pm / Dinner & Dancing / Wrapup – Midnight
Grads and their parents only are invited to this event. Please prepare your seating plan as per the instructions on the yellow order form. Tickets are not issued for this event. Names of all guests will be on the master seating plan. The event is a “dry” grad event for all attending. Unlimited pop and juice bar is included. In-out privileges will not be granted during the course of the evening. Security services are provided by the hotel.
Please arrive early as there are wonderful opportunities for photos. The coat check for bags with After Grad clothing is open at 5:00 pm. Dancing ends at midnight. Parents are reminded that if they need to
