The library plays a key role in supporting 21st century learners at St. Thomas Aquinas. Library staff collaborate with teachers in lesson planning, support students in their research and help integrate various learning resources into curricula.
Fostering a love of independent reading is a key goal of both the English department and the library and we work together to organize book pass activities which give students exposure to a variety of novel titles and genres before selecting a book for classroom silent reading.
Incoming grade 8 students have library orientation within the first few weeks of school and can begin making the STA library their home away from home!
